Josh, Tim, and Mike talk about DNA and your genetic privacy in 2018. On the heels of a serial rapist being caught when the police used a commercial genetic profiling service to compare their suspects DNA with what was publically out there, we have to wonder – is our genetic information safe? Obviously, it’s a good thing when people like this are brought to justice to account for their actions, but should we be concerned about genetic privacy? In the age of Google, Facebook, and seemingly every tech company wanting your metadata, is your DNA next? Who better to talk about it than 3 barely educated half-drunk Canadians!
Also Overheard:- In a Mirror, Darkly. Ugandan Banana Beer – That’s a hard no. The next great crime novel. LCBO IS COMING FOR YOUR DATAS! A great prank to play on your friends with Alexa devices. Mike is eventually going to be too rich for this podcast. Monkeying Around.
Don’t just yell angrily at whatever dumb thing Tim just said, or laugh derisively at one of Mike’s opinons! Leave us a comment on iTunes, or find us on Facebook or Twitter.
