William Kidd fell madly in love and married a girl from Monmouth County. When the local politicians he was so friendly with turned against him he could always lean on his wife for comfort. He spent many days just off our shores and the bulk of his treasure which is extensively documented has never been recovered. Most experts believe, without much pushback, it's here somewhere in New Jersey. Many other experts believe his ghost watches over it. Grab a shovel... let's go!
