Thirty years ago a young Florida college student named Erik Patchin disappeared on the drive home. His car was found in perfect condition parked near a local pay phone. The 20-year-old hasn’t been seen since, but his family hasn’t stopped searching for him and they’re still holding onto hope they’ll be able to one day bring him back home.

This episode is a case Katie covered in-depth for WCTV, the CBS affiliate in Tallahassee, Florida. Listen to exclusive interviews with the family, details from the lead investigator and learn why detectives think this case could still be solved.
If you have information, you can call the Leon County Sheriff's Office at 850-922-3300, or share it anonymously through Big Bend Crime Stoppers by calling 850-574-TIPS. You may be eligible for the $5,000 cash reward.

Erik Patchin would be 50 years old now. You can follow his story through the family’s Facebook page dedicated to his case.
