We got some audio from the International Brotherhood (and Sisterhood) of Electrical Workers Local 1049 at their official strike authorization vote meeting. They are prepared to go out on Feb 14 and are currently bargaining with natural gas provider National Greed. The Service Employees International Union Local 32 BJ is on strike at JFK airport– we will get them on the phone to talk up how the baggage handlers and standing up. Billy Imandt of the Court Officers Benevolent Association of Nassau County stops in to let us know how his members work hard to protect our due process in the Courts and we got a HUGE announcement! Plus as usual the UCOMM Radio sports report with JAMO, the UCOMM News Network, this week in twitter and a few new alt rock tunes.
