Scott Moore is the Co-Founder of Gitcoin, the community of builders, creators, and protocols at the centre of open web ecosystems.

He's also the Co-Founder of Kernel which is an 8-week, invite-only program for people looking to build relationships, products, and companies in web3. Its core intention is about learning together and many of the brightest builders in crypto have joined Kernel since it began in 2020.

Scott is a steward for core infrastructure projects like ENS, Gnosis Safe, and Optimism. Through his work with Gitcoin and their DAO, they have been thinking a lot about regenerative structures, and are keenly focused on funding public goods.

In this episode we’ll talk about the ideals of solarpunk, aiming to build towards a techno-positive future, what it means and how this ties into recognising web3 as a counterculture movement.

About the origins of Gitcoin and what they’ve discovered along the way. Thinking about funding public goods like a subway system that produces value for a whole city ecosystem, for the people who live there and all their activities.

And we talk about the nature of web3 projects like Nouns DAO, formed in a memetic way, almost entirely from the grassroots as people try to collectively figure out what this meme is and what they’re trying to do with it.
