With London Fashion Week Mens rapidly approaching, Meg Parry (@Megteksir) and Alex Hackett (@Miniswoosh) sit down to discuss the in’s and out’s of the industry, leading up to Alex’s debut catwalk show this weekend for her label Studio ALCH. The girls discuss the new FENTY range and how they feel about the sub-categories (Fenty-Puma, Fenty-Beauty etc.) and the — perhaps wavering — influence of the influencer, in light of Hypebeast releasing the Streetwear Impact Report. We’re also joined by our latest guest — legendary sneaker collector, photographer, DJ, founder of the iconic Slammin’ Kicks store and of course, the person behind the infamous @Archive.DNA account — Magdi Fernandes. We discuss the Art of Collecting, the joy of Carboot Sales (and finding money in used clothes) and how Magdi’s mum is basically the OG reseller. Also, if you want to hear a wild story about buying kicks from Footlocker for 1p, this is the episode for YOU. Guest suggestions or questions? Email us at uk6podcast@gmail.com Follow Alex — @Miniswoosh Follow Meg — @Megteksir Follow Magdi Fernandes — @TheMagdi or @Archive.DNA Sound Production — Dylan Leadley-Watkins (@dylan_lw) Introductory Music — George Hill (@wavyloops)
