Fika with Vicky is looking forward to spending more time with Author Zohra Zoberi as we explore the second half of her memoir The Other I. We’ll be rejoining her journey as she travels from Africa to Canada, where she’s been settled since 1976. Although, I’m not sure that settled is the correct word, because Zohra (like life) is always moving. She moves from job to job, home to home, and city to city until she finally moves into an accepting relationship with herself and her Other I. This discussion will include the obtaining of citizenship, starting a new life, living with dementia, and finding/making your place in the world. About The Other I: A Memoir - Settled in Canada since 1976 I also bring you exciting life stories from four different continents. By common definition—a Canadian of Indo-Pakistani origin, but in spirit, I’m a Global Citizen. Experience my attempts to achieve the best of both worlds Melding values from the East and the West Enjoying a fine process of combining, retaining, rejecting, and upholding! You’ll see how my Canadian dream is achieved, and when... at a certain point in my life, there is a Paradigm shift!
