This week we chat about how we build great organisations and workplaces by creating healthy connections with each other.
We often forget that businesses are only made up of people. We get obsessed with ROI, value creation, impact, deadlines, looking good, being seen and deliverables etc - in other words, jargon that dehumanises workplaces.
This is about aligning shoulder to shoulder around what truly matters...
Which is challenging!
Why?
Because we fear being vulnerable and using 'soft skills' (emotional intelligence)
We get stuck in power struggles, hierarchies and play by invisible rules that aren't real unless we play by them
We make assumptions about what the other person thinks of us ( truth is - they feel the same)
There's a power differential or stress - one person has more organisational 'power/control'
It starts and ends with 'U'...
Supporting you to lead and to shift the status quo forever by taking one human step in a smarter direction.
