Noreen has a Master of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy, working with individuals, couples, and families. She is married, has 4 boys and never leaves home without her red lipstick. Noreen loves being an artist and a sculptor. The areas of focus in her office are: Anxiety, Couple Conflict, Depression, General Unhappiness, Infidelity, Loss, Grief and Heartbreak, Low Self-Esteem, Relationship Problems, Religious, Spiritual, or Faith Concerns and Women’s Issues.

In this episode we highlight:

—Tips and advice for someone considering therapy.

—Reasons why some may be fearful of taking the first step into therapy.

—Learning to sit comfortably in the discomfort, in order to process what’s really going on.

—Therapy is a place to, in your time, find your safe place to break down and allow the issues to unfold.

—You have value. Period. For who you are, not what you do. Sometimes you just need to be reminded of what those characteristics & attributes are.

—Childhood trauma creates such a mindset that puts expectations and standards on yourself and other relationships that just cannot always be met.

—Generational patterns will repeat themselves or Either you sit in that heat and realize that heat will either break you or bend you…you have to decide.

—“Expectations are the number one killer of relationships.”

Recognize it just takes ONE person in the family system to change and work on things to change the whole system.
