On the 15th of March, 2024, the DPRK conducted an airborne operation for their dear leader, Kim Jong Un. You can view the DPRK video here:

I've never seen DPRK airborne ops, and in this video, I'll share my views on what I see from my perspective as an Australian Army Paratrooper.

The biggest take away for me from these images is that the DPRK intends to use human wave attacks, per their Korean War doctrine.

The images from this exercise show a clear lack of command and control, indicating that on the battlefield, it's every man for himself.

These DPRK airborne troops don't seem to be an effective fighting force at all. Nonetheless, we should never underestimate our enemy, and it's still valuable to pay attention to how they train, as this reveals exactly how they'll fight.
