Convicted murderer and rapist, Thabo Bester asks court to impose a death sentence on him

Convicted murderer and rapist, Thabo Bester has broken his silence and given an emotional address to the Free State High Court in Bloemfontein. Bester, appearing alongside his co-accused alleges that he has not been treated fairly by the courts nor by the correctional services department. Bester went so far as alleging that there is a political back-hand involved in his case adding that his co-accused are innocent. Bester's co-accused face charges of assisting in his escape and defeating the ends of justice, among others. Sakina Kamwendo spoke to SABC News reporter, Zoleka Qodashe.
