Electricity Minister withdraws section 34 determination to proceed with the country's nuclear build, in order to allow for a proper process of public participation.

Minister of Electricity and Energy, Kgosientsho Ramokgopa has withdrawn the section 34 determination to proceed with the country's nuclear build to allow for a proper process of public participation. Ramokgopa says while he notes that this will cause delays in the implementation of the nuclear energy program, public participation is necessary in order for the country to scrutinize and respond to the unfolding process, for transparency's sake.
