Former Public Protector, Advocate Busisiwe Mkhwebane takes fight for R10 million gratuity to the Supreme Court of Appeal

Advocate Busisiwe Mkhwebane's status in proceedings before the Supreme Court of Appeal is been debated before the appellate court in Bloemfontein, Free State. Mkhwebane is before the superior court appealing the judgment dismissing the Chairperson of the Section 194 inquiry, Qubudile Dyantyi's refusal to recuse himself from the inquiry that impeached her. However, the former Public Protector no longer occupies the position. Her legal counsel, Advocate Dali Mpofu (SC) has argued that she has brought the appeal in her personal capacity and has invoked Rule 15 of the Uniform Rules of Court.
