The Independent Electoral Commission has finished counting the votes, and the verification process is currently underway following what many have called a historic election. As stipulated by the Electoral Act, the Commission has a 7-day window to declare the results. Parties interested, including the public, independent candidates, and political parties, have until 9 PM on May 31, 2024, to raise any objections regarding the voting or counting process with the Commission.
