President Cyril Ramaphosa has appealed to political parties to recognise that the results of the 2024 national and provincial elections reflect the will of the people. Ramaphosa was speaking at a ceremony to announce the final results at the National Results Operations Centre in Midrand, north of Johannesburg. While acknowledging the glitches and difficulties experienced on the two-year journey to this point, the IEC has expressed satisfaction with the work it has performed in administering 19 regional, provincial and national polls, using the services of over 200-thousand staff across 23-thousand-200 voting stations.
