The South African Emergency Personnel's Union has expressed concern over what it calls the continuing senseless attacks of emergency services personnel while they are on duty. In one such case, emergency personnel rushed to attend to a call at Clau-Clau section in Mpumalanga, before their arrival, family members of the patient continuously made calls to the control centre making threats, which resulted in a scuffle with the emergency services personnel. The South African Emergency Personnel's Union says it is concerned that such instances have become commonplace. Sakina Kamwendo spoke to SAEPU President, Mpho Mpogeng.
