March 21/22, 2006. Ambassador William R. Timken, Jr. met the U.S. men's national soccer team in Bochum on March 21 and attended the friendly match against Germany in Dortmund the next day. At a press conference on March 21, the Ambassador explained that the U.S. was proud to be part of this 2006 World Cup in Germany and that the event was "a time to make friends."
