VCU fell to their cross-town rivals, the Richmond Spiders, in a close game on Saturday by a score of 79-76. Despite leading by as many as 7 points in the second half, Richmond used a 12-0 run to take control of the game. VCU's Max Shulga led the Rams in scoring with 19 points, but it wasn't enough to overcome a strong performance by Richmond's Jordan King, who poured in 27 points for the Spiders. This loss puts VCU three games behind Richmond in the Atlantic 10 standings.
