Many people say the DNA of Los Angeles is recorded in it’s murals, but what a lot of people don’t realize is that mural creation on private property was essentially outlawed in 2002. What kept it from dying out? The story of how it was saved may surprise you. Listen to Isabel Rojas-Williams, the art historian who was the director of the mural conservatory of Los Angeles tell the story of how she came to be in the center of saving this important cultural art practice in Los Angeles.
