Peter Ball came from a wealthy family who owned a mansion in one of the richest, most exclusive neighbourhoods in Cleveland but he never showed that he came from money. It was years after I met him that I found out that he grew up in the famous Ball Mansion, home of the legendary Cramps and Pere Ubu show in summer of 1976 overlooking Lake Erie. That's the kind of guy he was and we lost him a year ago this month. His band, Apartment One, is featured here as a tribute to our friend Peter. He has been missed. It also forms the basis for the entire episode, which is all either electronic or electronically-enhanced.
Automatik Eden is a new band to Cleveland though their members are from here. They were formed on the West Coast and relocated to Cleveland in recent months.
