The frequent, unfavorable treatment of an individual by one or more coworkers is known as workplace bullying, and it may be regarded as an unjustified and improper practice. It encompasses actions that, perhaps in front of coworkers, clients, or customers, intimidate, offend, denigrate, or humiliate an employee. In her book, Building Psychologically Safe Spaces, Dr Ngao Motsei teaches people how to make sense of workplace bullying. She starts by removing the confusion around what bullying in the workplace is – behaviour that is often difficult to define – before explaining the steps that can be taken to bullyproof your organisation: actions are outlined that are required of leaders, bystanders, targets, and bullies. She includes first-hand accounts from both leaders (previously accused of abrasive bullying behaviour) and targets to shed light on how this phenomenon affects all involved.
