After Anthony Green left Saosin, Cove Reber sent the band an acoustic demo of some of their earlier songs. It is claimed that the band initially thought the demo was Anthony Green playing a trick on them as Reber’s vocal sound in the demo was so similar to Green’s. At just 19 years old, Cove Reber would become the new frontman of Saosin.
With the release of their debut full length in 2006, Saosin pushed their sound to a new level with their signature intricate drums, layered delayed guitars, exceptional vocal melody and pristine vocal harmonies. Though the debate still rages amongst fans about which era of Saosin is superior, Beetle as the record is affectionately known has its own adoring legion of fans and is one of the most perfectly produced records in all of screamo.
