Kristine Johnson and John James Kirkwood sit down with Biology Professor and Speaker, Dr. April Maskiewicz Cordero and discuss the often troubled relationship between Biological Evolution and the Christian Faith. Can they coexist? Does the acceptance of Evolution lead to Atheism? If Evolution is true is The Bible false? This and more on the next livestream of Voices in the Wilderness. Dr. April Maskiewicz Cordero is a professor of biology and Dean at Point Loma Nazarene University. Her research focuses on developing more effective approaches for teaching ecology and evolution that enable students to develop not only factual knowledge, but biological ways of thinking and reasoning about the living world. As a Christian biologist trained in science education research, she is in a unique position to investigate science students’ perceptions of the relationship between scientific issues that evoke controversy (i.e. origins, evolution, human origins) and Christian faith. Dr. Cordero gave a TEDx talk on evolution and faith and she was featured in “From the Dust,” a BioLogos sponsored documentary. She is also one of the six authors of the BioLogos Integrate curriculum.

April's book, What about Evolution?: A Biologist, Pastor, and Theologian Answer Your Questions can be purchased at our Amazon Affiliate Link here: https://amzn.to/3ceuxsy
