This is Episode 45 of the VulnerABLE Podcast! After the loss of their first child, it would be a few years before things returned to normal. It would become the catalyst for fostering and adopting children, and educating others on how to do the same! After the death of their first child, the grief destroyed him because he wasn’t dealing with it in the right way. Not allowing himself to grieve with the false idea that men don’t cry, or deal with their emotions caused tension in his marriage. It would take some time away from the world for him to start doing the self-work and recognize that it wasn’t his or anyone else’s fault. So they moved back to the US, and it took another couple of years for him to return to the person he once was. Now he’s fostered over 60 children, and even adopted too, and is the founder of the Foster Care Institute. Without a doubt he’s made an impact on a lot of lives already, and continues to educate and help others do the same.
