This is Episode 68 of the VulnerABLE Podcast!

From dealing with bullying, to depression, and coping with it using drugs and medication. To building a strong mindset, and now helping others to overcome their own mental illness struggles!

Although she doesn’t remember it, at around 5 years of age her babysitter would lock her in a closet, and this would be her first experience of trauma. Then during grade school she would be severely bullied by her peers, which caused her to grow up with low self-esteem. In high school in an effort to fit in she would start drinking and doing drugs so that people would accept her. At 16 years old she was sexually assaulted, and this would begin a spiral of drugs and alcohol to suppress any emotions or feelings she had. Then in her early twenties she would lose both her parents, and continue to cope with drugs and medication. It all led to a point where she was about to take her own life, and an insane coincidence would bring her off the ledge. This would be the point where she decided to do something about her mindset, and work through her depression. Now she’s helping people realize that they can overcome their depression, and mental illness through their diet, exercise and mindfulness practices.
