I’m excited to share a special episode with you from The Travis Macy Show. Travis recently sat down with Kari Loya for a conversation that will leave you reflecting on your relationship with your father and children.

Kari is the author of the book Conversations Across America which is about a 73-day, 4,600-mile cross-country bike trip Kari took in 2015 with his 75-year-old dad, Merv, who had early-stage Alzheimer’s.

As I was editing this episode for Travis’ show I found myself reflecting about my dad, some of the many adventures we have had together, and how fragile that all felt last summer when he was diagnosed with cancer again

There is a moment at the end of Kari and Travis’ chat that just about killed me. I’m reminded how lucky I am to have the relationship with my dad (truly with both my parents) that I have, and if you are lucky enough to feel the same - I hope this conversation moves those same feelings in you.

Please be sure to check out the Travis Macy Show for more inspiring conversations like this one - and also grab a copy of Kari’s book!
