This week's #WalterEatsNewThings #podcast is slightly different. Instead of focusing on a single food, Walter and Drew talk about how they spent the past two weeks facing some of their fears during a long, two-week road trip to Missouri and back. First, Walter tells the story of riding the Pandemonium roller coaster at Six Flags in St. Louis, MO. Some listeners will remember how scared Walter was the last time he visited the #BigTexan in #Amarillo, TX. Both the shooting gallery and the hallway of lenticular pictures totally freaked him out. But he bravely faced both of them on this trip. Then Drew talks about claustrophobia because of a visit to the City Museum in St. Louis, where there are loads of caves, tunnels, and other very small spaces. This week's #SpecialTreats comes courtesy of IHOP, with their Funny Face pancakes kids' meal. Also s’mores and apple Santa Clauses with Walter's cousins in #KansasCity. Finally, instead of playing a game this week, Drew and Walter talk about more of #WaltersWackyCombos. This time it's bacon with maple syrup and chicken tenders with blueberry syrup. Yes, it's an all-syrup #WWC. They did so many things on their road trip that the fellas didn't even have time to talk about the pancake-making machine at #HolidayInnExpress, the Blue Whale in Catoosa, #Oklahoma, the world's largest #Route66 sign in Elk City, OK, #FantasticCaverns in #Springfield, MO, frozen custard from Ted Drewes or Gus’s Pretzels, both in St. Louis. So they close out the show with a quick rundown of the Magic House in St. Louis, specifically a story about crawling through a long air duct, where Walter met some girls who wanted to give him hugs and kisses.
