Mustafa Speaks is an American actor, writer, and producer, known for his roles in the Netflix series "Seven Seconds," the USA Network series "Unsolved," and the Spectrum original series "Joe Pickett." He played Nate Romanowski in "Joe Pickett," a master falconer and special forces officer. In addition to his acting career, Speaks is also known for his work as a producer and writer. He has a background in marine and environmental science, having earned a B.S. in the field from Hampton University, and was recognized for his groundbreaking work with shark behavior before transitioning to show business. Speaks also had a brief stint in football before moving on to pursue acting, where he found success and a passion for the arts. He has been in the entertainment industry for over fifteen years and sees himself as a creator, hustler, and entrepreneur, with plans to expand his career into directing.
