We are so excited to be bringing you our first conversation with Shasti Conrad in her new capacity as chair of the Washington State Democratic Party! Longtime listeners will know her as the former chair of the King County Democrats (and de facto co-host on the podcast--she's our most frequent guest and fill-in host ever). In this wide-ranging discussion, we hear about her thoughts on her transformational role as the youngest person to ever be elected chair, as well as being the first woman of color in the position. We also discuss the work ahead for the 2023 and 2024 election cycles , and most importantly, we talk about how Shasti and the WA Dems will be actively listening to and working with grassroots groups like Indivisible.
