We all we got, is more truth than most of us small black business owners want to admit. Supporting one another is something that we as a community have always done. Now that we have become more knowledgeable, we see once again the playing field is not level. Small black owned businesses are as American as apple pie, but we have always struggled to keep our businesses open and flourishing. We have always had to work against other cultures and sometimes work against our own as well. From Freedman's Bank to Black Wall Street, we as a people have always had to overcome unforeseen financial obstacles. What we have to continue to do is support our small black businesses. These businesses were once staples in our communities. Now as we have expanded beyond the neighborhoods our parents and grandparents lived in, most of those businesses no longer exist.
