Today's guest on the WB Download is Jeff's long-time friend and trade partner, Adam Weber. Adam is the President of AE Door and Window Co. Wieland Builders, has been partners with AE Door & Window on their custom homes for a long time. Jeff and Adam talk about how this trade relationship started with their fathers.
Adam explained how his father started the company and how he learned the business from growing up at the shop with his mom and dad. The company has been in business since 1980, 43 years. Did you ever wonder what the A and E stand for in the company name? Adam explained the AE is for his sisters Amy and Erin. Today AE Doors is experiencing tremendous growth and has several locations in the tri-state area. Adam gives credit to the great staff and being organized with processes in place. He says the key to success is providing good quality and a good price. He enjoys watching everyone succeed in the company.
Jeff and Adam discuss what it's like growing up in a family business, working your way up in it, and ultimately being the president of a successful business.
A&E provides several products and stands behind all of them because they have been tested and proven to be the best. They are loyal to their brands, partnerships and relationships. Some of the products and services they provide are garage doors, front entry doors, awnings, automated screens, commercial doors and replacement windows. He explains how homeowners can screen the garage, which becomes an extension of the home.
Adam shares many stories about how boating & skiing brought the family together during his childhood. He even shares some stories about his younger years and the notorious Badin High School senior prank he participated in.
