Creating a software company by integrating several systems is not a new concept. Private equity has done it time and time again. But who would have thought of creating another Infor or ECi when music has completely stopped for the private equity industry? Is the strategy successful? Maybe? Maybe not? While the strategy might be successful in the large market segment, the smaller products were created because of frustration with their larger peers. Also, the only reason mom-and-pop ERP vendors were successful is because they were willing to put in the sweat equity that none of the larger companies would. So, how can private equity companies be successful in the smaller segment by simply changing the branding and providing an integrated experience? And where does Advantive stand in its capabilities, and how does it compare with other ERP, WMS, and MES vendors?
In today's episode, we invited a panel of industry experts for a live discussion on LinkedIn to conduct an independent review of Advantive capabilities. We covered many grounds, including their evolution and roots as well as their corporate strategy. Finally, we covered different products and acquisitions in their portfolio and their unique strengths.
