Stephen obtained his degree in exercise science at BYU and then went on to get his chiropractic degree from Dallas. At Freedom Integrated Medicine, Stephen provides drug-free and surgery-free services including joint injections, regenerative medicine, chiropractic care, physical therapy, and non-surgical decompression. He specializes in degenerative knee pain and neuropathy pains such as numbness or tingling.
To better serve patients with these conditions he converted the clinic to an integrated medical clinic with a nurse practitioner who specializes in regenerative medicine, advanced joint injections, and hormone therapy. The goal of regenerative medicine is to fix what's causing pain rather than just take a pill to make it go away. This podcast conversation discusses the risks associated with cortisone shots, pain pills, and other forms of treatment for degenerative joint pain.
The speaker then introduces regenerative medicine as an alternative form of treatment, specifically platelet-rich plasma (PRP) injections. PRP is taken from the patient's own blood and can be used to stimulate healing in areas that are not responding well to traditional treatments. The speaker also mentions that their practice helps with headaches, neck pain, back pain, bulging discs, sciatica, pinched nerves, and degenerative joints.
Lastly, they express how impressed they have been with their patients in South Jordan who come in cheerful and happy despite being in pain. They emphasize how the body knows how to heal when given the right environment. This podcast conversation discussed the importance of stimulating the body to heal itself, rather than controlling and manipulating it.
The hosts discussed how Daybreak offers trails and other activities for people to get extra exercise, especially those who travel far to visit them. They also offered a $49 consultation, exam, x-ray, and treatment recommendations for anyone suffering from headaches, back pain, neck pain, degenerative knees, and tingling, or numbness in their feet.
The hosts concluded by emphasizing that the body can heal itself and encouraged listeners not to give up on their bodies but instead find ways to stimulate the healing process. This podcast conversation was between the South Jordan Chamber and a guest speaker. The guest speaker discussed the importance of not giving up on your body no matter how old you are. They encouraged listeners to continue doing the things they love, regardless of age.
