Welcome to ‘Weak Days with Jesus.

“We are weak, but He is strong.”

I’m Kevin Bueltmann, your host and a recovering burnt out pastor,

who is here to share with you, sermons and songs from friends of mine

that I hope will be a blessing to you.

Normally on Tuesdays we will be hearing from Rob Mrosko from Wisconsin, but today he is on a Mission trip with a few others to lead a marriage workshop for the church leaders in Tanzania.

Instead we will hear from Ben Spaulding preaching from Texas explains to us about The Parable of the Sower found in Matthew 13.

Birds, Rocks & Thorns and how they connect with our Deception, Disillusionment, Disordered Desires.

We are going to wrap up today’s podcast with a song written by
Lara Marriott, Branon Dempsey, Holland Davis.
Lara and I are in a monthly online songwriting group.
She is a Christian recording artist & Director of Worship at her church in Palm Springs, CA. Check out more of her music at YouTube and spotify and her website.

I’m going to have her share with you about her song before you hear her sing it…
Lara go ahead…

I Call Your Name
©2018 Branon Dempsey, Lara Marriott, Holland Davis

Verse 1
When lightning falls and waters rise
I will trust in You
When fear begins to war inside
I will trust in You
If I lose my way
You’re my God, You’re my God
You’ll cast the doubts away with Your Word

Chorus
I call Your Name
I call Your Name
The mountains move,
You still remain
You’re the God who saves
Oh Jesus, how I call Your Name

Verse 2
When darkness comes and fills the sky
I will trust in You
When fires rage on every side
I will trust in You
Even in the storm
You’re my God, You’re my God
You’ll lead me to the Rock that’s higher

Chorus

Bridge
There is no mountain
There is no valley
That can stop Your love
There’s nothing stronger
There’s nothing greater
That can stop Your love

Chorus (2X)

Bridge 2
There is no one like You
There is no one like You
There is no one like You
There is no one like You

Chorus

Song Story:
We wrote this song in response to the California fires in Napa Valley and floods in Dallas Texas. People were traumatized and uncertain about their futures. We wanted to give them a song they could sing in their moment of chaos and trial that reminded them God was trustworthy and to call on His name in their moment of need.
