Brendan Melvin is a highly experienced leadership development facilitator & accredited coach with some 30 years+ experience in the field of people development, 25 of which were gained in the builders merchants sector, although he has also worked extensively in retail, facilities management, social care etc. His belief is that the only way to build towards, achieve and sustain the high levels of business performance that all organisations crave is through the development of people and a culture in which personal contribution is valued.
His business, Acuity Learning & Development, is a leadership development and coaching practice often blending both online and in-person learning with personal coaching to build confidence, know-how and aid change. Acuity has been in existence since September 2018 and has mostly thrived in the face of Covid, a cost of living crisis and personal trauma.
Prior to this Brendan worked for the Travis Perkins Group of companies in a number of roles including Head of Management; Leadership Development; Group Manager of Talent Living in Motherwell, Brendan has been married for 30 years to Caroline, with two “kids” Aidan and Ciara.
Music is and will always be a massive influence on his thinking, creative output and sense of well being. He is a bass player with 7 of those instruments kept at home alongside his guitars and piano.
