Rory and Shane take a deep dive and look back at one of Ween's signature albums The Mollusk. Initially, the critics didn’t all know what to make of it, a concept album about sea shanties is what most summed it up as, but fans knew better. And over 20 years later the album continues to gain new fans and a major cult following.

We discuss Ween’s legendary recording sessions down the shore in the offseason, how circumstances, as well as Aaron’s literary influences, helped develop the album’s thematic concepts, providing the aura of some kind of long lost maritime folk. And we break down the album’s songs, from the playful “Dancing in the Show Tonight,” to the somber, “Cold Blows The Wind,” or the epic, “Buckingham Green.” Yarr Matey, if’n it’s The Mollusk ye after, we’ve got ye bases covered. Scallywag!
