I am joined by the inspiring Kristie Elliot. Kristie is currently a 21-year-old student at Simon Fraser University in Vancouver. She is also on the SFU Football team and is the 1st Canadian woman to play & score in an NCAA football team. Her story is kind of funny on how she joined the team. It started with a $40 bet with an SFU football player that entailed her kicking a 40-yard field goal. She was on the track team, but never kicked a football before, that didn’t stop her and she was able to make it and take video footage of it. From there she got messages from the other guys on the team and eventually got in touch with the head coach.
We chat about her journey joining a team of 80+ men, facing adversity as the only female on the team, falling in love with Football, how she balances friends, football, and school, body confidence & dating. Such a fun episode!
