Today we’re starting a series where we will go through a book of the Bible (James) chapter by chapter. James has been called the proverbs of the New Testament. It is full of practical daily wisdom and spiritual truth.

For today’s message, we’re focusing on trials. A few of the things we’re going to cover are:

  • We will face painful moments, but it’s important to recognize them as tests. Tests are important because tests are revealing.
  • God has set up life to be an exercise in self-awareness.
  • There are times that He allows us to be tested in life so that we have a clear picture of what God is trying to accomplish in our lives.
  • There are people that fail to see what God is doing and end up going around the same mountain all the time.
