In the late 1800’s and early 1900’s, feminism embraced women equally as capable as men without need for modification to be like men. Women were equal. In fact, Elizabeth Cady Stanton, an outspoken activist for abolition and women’s rights, declared, “We are, as a sex, infinitely superior to men, and if we were free and developed, healthy in body and mind, as we should be under natural conditions, our motherhood would be our glory. Constitutional attorney, former professor and now Republican candidate for Congress in Virginia’s 6th District, Cynthia Dunbar tackles the tough question in her expose called, “True Feminism: Identifying the Real Threats to Women?”. In a candid discussion, Cynthia sheds some light on the dangerous and erroneous assumptions embraced by the so-called second wave of the feminist movement. Listen and then download her expose which was printed in the William & Mary University Journal of Women and the Law in July 2013.
