On Ep 15 of Season 2 both Susie and Ed are tired but Colt has joined the episode. Susie had a good week and went to the Wayne Brady event the night before, where there were lots of influencers like Portia Noir and White Woman Whisperer. Ed was supposed to be at that event but couldn't make it because just mere minutes before he was about to leave his house, he started to have someone lurking outside of his home most likely trying to be served papers that would suppress him from releasing information regarding the disappearance of Annie Chao. 15 year old Annie Chao was missing for upwards of a week that Ed covered after being reached out to by Annie's family to help them search for their missing family member. During the research into Annie's disappearance to try to get all the pertinent information to help find her, Ed came across information that seemed to point towards Annie having run away because her mother, Annie Chao, who had tried to have Alison institutionalized through the Monterey Park Police the day before Alison disappeared. Ed spent the day trying to corroborate that claim that was sent to him by multiple people from Alison's paternal grandmother making the claims to her church prayer group that was then leaked to the public. Ed came across a couple of Alison's friends who all stated that Alison did not have any mental health issues but some stated that Alison told them that her mother abused her. Then Ed was told about a video that Alison recorded from her father's house on Monday, July 15, 2024 - the day before Alison disappeared on Tuesday, July 16, 2024 that corroborates the paternal grandmother's claim that Annie tried to have Alison institutionalized. Ed then makes a video stating that he was told of this evidence and then later after receiving the video that he was going to publish the video the following day. And then the next day, someone hung out outside Ed's house for upwards of 6 hours potentially trying to serve him some papers. Susie and Ed take a break to eat breakfast burritos and during that break to eat the burritos, news comes out that Alison Chao was found alive while stating that she is ready to be heard and have her side of the story told which is the most important part of this case - that Alison is safe and her side being heard. Ed reminds that Alison's family reached out to him to help find Alison and then uncovered inconsistencies from the mother's side including harassment from the mother's side including commenting while tagging the police that Ed knew were Alison was before she was found... when many times we are asked to help by people close to the victim or missing person.
