This is our 50th Episode!!! and coincidentally Lunar New Year/Seollal/Spring Festival/Chūnjié/Tết so we decided to eat a FEAST of some of the Asian cuisines of those that celebrate the New Year holiday. But first, Ed took a couple of days off this week but watched the Super Bowl until he fell asleep. Susie and Ed talk about the Halftime show with Usher, Luda, Lil Jon, and Alicia Keys.... which then led to a tangent about Usher and Diddy and how the latter is a c*ck. Travis Kelce flips out on Andy Reid. And Lynja (Lynn Yamada) and Chris Punsalan's grandmother (Anica Santos Manipon) passed away. Susie's life revolves around her kids' sports schedules but both her kids are really excelling in their respective sports. Susie's daughter's team used Asian fans for the New Year and one of the Asian girls said "I love being Asian, it makes me feel so special." Susie's youngest called her older sister a f-ing B. The Susie and Ed literally stuff their faces with the New Years fest which includes: Pork shumai, Lo Mai Gai, baked char siu buns from Long's Family Pastry in Chinatown; fried mandu, spam kimbap and spicy pork/ssam kimbap from The Kimbap in Koreatown; shrimp japchae from the Galleria Market in Koreatown; spring rolls, pho, and banh mi from 123 Pho in Playa Vista; chicken adobo and buchon (Cebu style lechon) from L.A. Rose Cafe in East Hollywood, pad see ew from Sicha Siam in Eagle Rock; and egg tarts, sesame balls, and pinapple buns from Long's Family Pastry in Chinatown.
