In this heartfelt episode you'll hear from Michael Farah, the passionate Founder and Director of Indigenous Outreach Project (IOP). Michael is a professional dancer and youth worker who works with disengaged youth all over Australia, including in remote communities, to deliver healthy lifestyles and positive messaging around wellbeing.

The work Michael does teaching dance and leadership to youth builds self esteem, confidence, a sense of belonging and self worth.

He shares with us:

  • The unique struggles and challenges our vulnerable First Nations youth face
  • How dance brings people together and home to themselves
  • How the pandemic impacted the broader dance community in Australia
  • What we don’t hear about indigenous culture in the media
  • What we can all learn from the beauty of First Nations culture
