In this episode Rachael shares her story from moving from a career being behind the scenes supporting the success of others, to stepping into the spotlight and out of the shadows as a business owner.

It's a personal and honest reflection on the importance of learning to trust ourselves, a reminder to always keep a focus on 'us' in some way in our careers, and why getting out of our own way can sometimes be the hardest thing to do.

Rachael explores:

  • Breaking the mold - both the ones we and others place us in
  • How to create inner steadiness in times of doubt
  • The magic in embracing possibilities without being sure of an end result
  • What she's learned about disregarding the rule book and doing things in an unconventional way
  • How her business came to be, and how it nearly didn't
  • The challenges and blocks she had to overcome on a personal level to create her own version of business success
  • The event that took the wind out of her sails and had her considering closing her business within weeks of openeing
  • Why we should be discerning about the advice we take from others, how the support of coaches can sometimes be more harmful than helpful
  • How she came to realise her career experience was an apprenticeship in Business Management and why she trains assistants all over the world to regard their experience as this too
  • and it's a peep behind the veil of the assistant world with its unique challenges

Whether you're a business owner or and employee, you'll relate to the pain points she shares and benefit from the wisdom about the ways we can suprise about ourselves when we least expect it.
