We are back for episode number 7! This week, we are pissed about how expensive healthcare is in the US, and Kelsey got mad and did lots of research and even consulted with the president of Yale (obviously not true). For most of the episode we shed light into some of the serious issues and shortcomings with the American healthcare system in comparison to other other high income countries of the world. To answer Harvard's question, yes we think the US Healthcare System is broken. For the rest of the episode, naturally, our conversation is gears towards other important topics, such as SpongeBob Squarepants and our recent trip to the Goo Lagoon. We're in for a wild ride on this one.
From Commonwealth Fund Organization's study compared "Australia, Canada, France, Germany, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Sweden, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom. We also compare U.S. performance to that of the OECD average, comprising 36 high-income member countries." - US From A Global Healthcare Perspective, 2019
