It is for Freedom that Christ has made us free. the devil sold Adam a lie - that he was going to be free apart from (independent) God. However, it is possible to be independent and not free. Look no further than our African countries who fought for independence but are still in bondage to colonialism, imperialism, corruption, and greed. True freedom is found when you and I become slaves of righteousness.
