"What's Goin Down In Downtown J-Town" is recorded at 3rd City Sound located in Downtown Joliet on the third floor above the place that did so much to cultivate this great music scene, Chicago Street Pub. Or as I like to call it, The Chi'er. I am your host Tom Maslowski. Along with me, whether stoic or animated, David Francis engineering and co-hosting out of his mind. In each of our episodes you can count on two songs with an interview in between from each artist or band. Though our shows are pre-recorded, we release them as live shows. We just mean that we captured the moments as they happened. There is no editing or pitch correcting done. Dave gives everything a good solid mix as to sooth your ears, but that's the extent of it. In this episode we feature Kev Wright. This guy has some great stories that go into his songs. He was one of the founding members of The Righteous Hillbillies, and now he's out and about supporting his new solo album, Journey Road. It definitely has a country feel, but it transcends genre with masterful songwriting and captivating lyrics.
