Des Moines City Council will hold a public hearing on Monday, Feb. 20, 2023 on the proposed fiscal year 2024 city property tax levy. The proposal maintains a rate of $16.61 per $1,000 of taxable property value.

The city says the training from 9am to 3pm on the section of NE 12th Ave between the 6800 block and NE 70th St will be closed while the fire department performs a planned house burn.
