Cajun Fest is this weekend at Cowles Commons in Downtown Des Moines.
Brook Run Park on the northeast side of DSM has a brand new playground for the kids. The city says it includes a We-Go-Round, Chill Spinner, Bucket Seat, and 3 new ground panels with puzzles. There is also new safety surfacing and ADA compliant sidewalk connection to Village Run Drive! See pictures.
Backstage Volunteers are needed at the DSM PlayHouse.
The Animal Rescue League is having a virtual Auction June 17th. The proceeds will benefit pets at the ARL.
The DMPL Summer Checkout Challenge has begun.
People in Ankney can have free mulch for their garden. The city says mulch and compost are available daily outside the fence of the City Maintenance Facility. The address is 211 SE Lorenz Drive.
Runners in Johnston can race for the trails. The Mayor's 5k is August 12th.
