Zmo has been getting on me about this for months. So I decided to set it off with my brother from the same mother Dj Disc Dolo. We go over the impact as well as the historical context of Jeru Da Damaja's debut album, “The Sun Rises in the East.”

We discuss the production, lyrics, and the impact Jeru had on the Boom Bap sound. This album is a classic but is underrated. That is not a hot take. It should be discussed alongside classics such as “Illmatic”and “Southernplayalisticadillakmusic.”

Free Palestine and we express solidarity to them and other oppressed peoples around the world.
