In 2019, the Cerro Negro Forest Council was established to remove excess heavy fuels on National Forest land, while strengthening the connection with local communities and the stewardship of the land.

In this live conversation with Alice Morillon, JR Logan reflects on the uniqueness of the program - not such what it did, but how, and who. He shares the role played by community members in caring for the forest and the impact that work had back towards the communities neighboring the land.
